Breakthrough Community Services, Inc. is an outreach ministry of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where Reverend Arthur L. Siggers is pastor.



Purpose

Breakthrough is a nonprofit organization geared toward empowering the community through the rendering of social and rehabilitative services. These services include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing information and referrals
  • Acting as a liaison between local, state, and federal programs
  • Providing counseling (individual and group)

Governing

Breakthrough is governed by a Board of Directors, who assure that the nonprofit fulfills its mission and meets its goal. Board members consist of individual who represent the diversity of the clients served.

Funding/Support

The principal funding and support for the program is through the following:

  • A grant from the City of Hattiesburg
  • Volunteer contributions of goods and services from the community
  • Mt. Olive Baptist Church

Breakthrough Community Service is taking applications for affordable housing.
