A Word From the Youth Minister…
Welcome to the Mt. Olive Youth Ministry. God has given me the awesome responsibility to ensure that each child, participating in our services, leaves each Sunday with a better knowledge of God, His will for his/her life, and His everlasting love for us.
Mt. Olive Youth Ministry is not a babysitting service. Our classes are divided into three age groups ranging from ages 2 thru 12 years old. Our volunteer teachers are members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, who devote numerous hours to the study of God’s word, through the church’s various weekly ministries and personal study sessions. They are equipped with all of the necessary tools to thoroughly explain and expound on each lesson, on each group’s level.
We also have a Teen Church, for ages 13 thru 18 years old. These students congregate in the Youth Sanctuary and receive a word from God, in a relaxed setting, and are allowed to discuss any questions or concerns they might have related to the message. Students also receive advice on how to minister to others, such as their peers and family.
These sessions, as well as other group activities, aid in preparing the teens for the transition into the adult church. They are encouraged to use their spiritual gifts and talents to effectively carry out the mission statement of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church or any other ministry of which they may become affiliated.
The Mt. Olive Youth Ministry participates in various events during the course of a year, but we are particularly proud of our students’ willingness to give back to the community by serving as volunteers at:
- Christian Services’ Thanksgiving Dinner
- Christian Services’ Birthday Party for Jesus
- Salvation Army’s Bell Ringing Services
- Field Evangelism / Community Service
We place special emphasis on education and its importance to each child’s success in life. We have implemented a Report Card Reward / Award System to encourage each child to continue to do his/her best in school.

There are NO Cut-Off Times (However, we do ask that you be considerate)
Teen Church – 8:30 A.M. Only
(No church on 4th and 5th Sundays or Holidays)
Wednesday
Bible Study – 6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
T.A.G.S. – 6:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.

NO class! Free time for talent shows, movies, fun & fellowship!

Mime/Dance Rehearsal – 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M
